In August 2023, Freya was diagnosed with an extremely rare genetic condition — Tay-Sachs Disease — which affects around 1 in 360,000 people. Freya is the first known case in Hong Kong. Despite this, she continues to embrace each day with joy and energy, living life to the fullest like any toddler.

Sadly, unlike most toddlers, children with Tay-Sachs Disease typically live only a few short years. At present, there is no cure.

Freya and her journey have given us as a family a powerful new way to see life — to slow down, to appreciate, and to celebrate every precious moment. We choose hope. We choose celebration. By buying this ball, you join us on this journey.
